You calmly respond “I’m not certain. I’d have to check my notes.” After being invited to do so, you quickly ascertain that it was the left ear. You respond and there are no further questions. After thanking you for your appearance, the judge dismisses you.
As you step out of the courthouse, you realize that a court appearance isn't that bad after all. You are surprised to find that your total time on the stand was only about 15-20 minutes. You make it back to Megahuge just in time to attend to the coughs, stuffy noses, and ear infections that await you in your Friday afternoon continuity clinic.
